Geomet Models Prints and Commissions

These sculptures, models and prints are investigations of shape, color and texture to define form and space. They are studies of mass and balance both visual and implied. The emphasis is on the relationship between scale and proportion.

The shapes resemble natural geological forms, yet are a metamorphosis of Nature and Man resulting in stone or crystal like forms. Fitting together the shapes lock into or impose on the others individual physical space creating a unified harmonic composition where each shape occupies its own specific unique space. Texture as well as negative space can also be introduced, creating a transparency or optical illusion that makes some of the forms disappear and reappear or simply vibrate with energy.

Each Print is unique. the matrix plates have been constructed as collagraphs (collages of cardboard and textured paper). They were printed with several different approaches focusing on form, contrast and texture.
